Apparently Sony’s new game, available at the PSN store right now in Japan, is to be more of a coin-op arcade style of “pay as you play” as opposed to the traditional download.  At a cost of 100 yen (about $1) to download, it only allows three plays.  After that, if you want to continue to play, it’ll cost you another 100 yen.

An interesting experiment for sure, but will the PSN audience love it, or will we be seeing the whole idea “trashed” after an uprising from the masses?
