Crazy’s Adventure: Webby41
Posted by Dan Burch in A Slice of Us, I thought this was cool, Xbox on July 21, 2011
It’s that time of year again. I made a trip to the UK to meet one of my Xbox friends for the first time. This trip was to meet my eldest friend, 70 years old, Webby41.

I knew Webby online through his son-in-law; Whom I met on last year’s Xbox friend meet up tour.
I met Webby in the South of London on the Isle of Dogs.
Webby took me on a tour of his old stomping grounds in London. It was hilarious recording the old man shouting at cabs.

We went to his favorite Pie & Mash shoppe. Beef Pie covered in parsley sauce.

Then it was off to the Greenwich Time Museum.

Can’t be ice cream on a hot July day.

With a stunning view of London.

Road trip Webby’s house to the Eastern most town in the UK.

Mr. & Mrs. Webby were such amazing host.

Kinect is finally here. I have been waiting forever to talk about and now I finally can! I am picking up YourShape Fitness Evolved tomorrow… so I will post some reviews of it after I mess with it a bit.
p.s. November is always such an awesome time for gaming memories… LIVE first went public in November, GoW came out in November… and most importantly, (though it isn’t technically a gaming moment) it’s my b-day in a month!
Don’t Rage Quit Comic Jumper
If you’ve played Comic Jumper, you know how hard the game is. If you’re like me you have probably had a part in the game where you died repeatedly for what seems like an infinite amount of times. But don’t give up the game before you even give yourself to beat the second issue.
The skill will come with time, you may have to try a certain part over and over again but it’ll come. For example, the first time I played the the third level I died for what seemed like a million times. But after I beat the Manga comics I went back, tryed it and never died and got over $30,000. One tip I have is only use the triggers for shooting and jumping, this keeps your thumbs free so you can aim, shoot and jump at the same time. Get used to it because it’s very important in the later issues. Also, upgrade and buy as much bonuses as you can get. The bonuses are not only hilarious, they actually add a percentage of your score at the end of the level to your score so you get lots of MONIES! The more monies the better right?
So please don’t give up, you’ll beat the part of the game you’re on eventually. It’s a great game, seriously, don’t rage quit. Be a REAL gamer. I’ll say it agian, don’t give up.

Well, okay, maybe not a full size one.. and definitely not one of the type you nasty minded peeps were thinking of, but something just as cool!
Built by Chris “Omega” Ruble from Gamer-Grafix.com, the Xbox 360 has been modified to resemble a modern day military humvee, and was inspired by Fun For Our Troops.
The Xbox 360, enclosed within the Hummer’s shell, is entirely functional and features its own built in monitor, as well as a 250 GB Hard Drive. Chris has fused his passion for supporting the troops with his love of art and video gaming to shape one of his most impressive pieces of work to date.

If you want to check out some hi-res images of the Reach console, head over to Major Nelsons’s flickr account and check them out. Hawtness, for sure!
Now, me introduce to you Forge World. Remember when Bungie revealed Blood Gulch and “outside the canyon”? Well, you probably weren’t expecting to go this far out of the canyon. Forge 2.0 is without a doubt, the most badass feature that any developer has come up with for the 360.

LIMBO- First Impressions

Yesterday, the first game of the Xbox LIVE Summer of Arcade was released. You can purchase this game for 1200 Microsoft points ($15). I’m about 30% through and here are my thoughts.
After reading about this game on Xbox.com, I bought this thinking it would be some cute platformer where you ran around trying to find your sister. Man was i wrong! When I started the game, under the logo it said you can turn the gore filter on in the setting menu. When read that I was confused, I mean gore? In a game where the point is to rescue you sister?
When the game started all I saw was black and gray, and a dark figure with white eyes rise off the ground. There were no directions, nothing. All I knew was the only way was forward. I continued through the game, swinging on ropes. Then as I was running all of a sudden a trap snapped shut squashing my player. All I could do was watch the life drain from the kid as his eyes slowly shut.
I continued on, figuring out challenging puzzles while moving along. Then after slowly making it out alive after a spider tryed to stab me to death I saw and older man, just sitting there. I walked over hoping I would finally find another human to talk to or something. as I got closer the floor drop out from under him, and he was hung by his neck. On the corner of the screen I saw some guy running away, so I tried to catch him. Then after he tried killing me multiple times with traps, it became clear he didn’t want me to make it out alive.
Gears 2 XP Event – You’re Needed!
If you were like Pogre or Scratch when 8x XP hit Gears of War 2 last week, you barely let your hands off your controller as you were frantically playing to get achievements. Well, now it’s up to you to help with how much XP you’ll be earning for the next event. Rob Fergusson, the Executive Producer of the Gears of War franchise and man in charge of XP, is bribing you on Twitter. Fergusson, @GearsViking, states:
Ok, here’s my bribe. The SDCC XP event will be # of my followers divided by 500. So 4000 followers means 8x XP.
Tell your friends, family, neighbors, your boss, anyone, to follow @GearsViking!
